What...A Worm...Where?

Oh the confusion when children wake up during the night. I will admit I am not good at waking up in the middle of the night, but the antics of my children can make it harder...or maybe just more confusing.
Last night, around 3:30 am, I awoke to a wet Ally. She does not wet the bed often, so I did not find it a huge deal. Let's get cleaned up.
A little while later (who can keep track of time when you have been awoken from a deep sleep), Ally's pajamas are changed. As well, Ally's bed, which she had been sharing with Jacob, was cleaned up and changed. Jacob is a heavy enough sleeper that the whole process pretty much didn't even disturb him.
So Ally looks at me and explains that she wants to go sleep in Jacob's bed. No problems with that; they pretty much go back and forth between the 2 beds. I'm fine as long as they are in 1 of the beds. So off she goes up to Jacob's bed.
At this point, I'm awake. And I realized I missed the end of Brothers and Sisters when I fell asleep. So I decided to cuddle up on the couch and watch the end of my show.
As I was on the couch, I hear Ally come out of Jacob's room yelling hysterically. Thinking back, maybe I should have jumped up and gone to my hysterical child. But I know my daughter and she is a bit of a drama queen. So I kept asking her what was wrong, but I didn't get off the couch. She stood on the stairs. You must know when Ally cries hysterically it is really difficult to understand her. Plus when she is saying things that don't make sense, it makes it all the more difficult. I really think we went back and forth about 20 times.
Me: What is it Ally?
Ally: Aaaah...woom....curtain.
Me: What about the curtain?
Ally: ...Voom...curtain.
Me: A warm curtain?
Ally: I saw a worm on Jacob's curtain!
A worm on the curtain? What is my daughter talking about? I finally put enough together (Give me credit...it was the middle of the night!) to have Ally lead me to Jacob's room and show me what she saw.
We walk into Jacob's room and she points at the window. I see nothing but Logan awake in his crib. He looked up at me and I sternly told him it was not time to get up. He dropped his head and pretended to be asleep.
Ally, in the mean time, could not find the worm that she had seen. So I suggested that she go back to her bed with Jacob and she agreed.
Back down the stairs we went. She went in her room to get into bed and I sat down to finish my television show.
A minute later Ally is crying again. What is the problem now? She comes out crying and explains there is no room on her bed. Apparently during her adventure with the worm Jacob had taken over her bed.
At this point, I give up. I tell her to get a blanket and lay down on the couch. Ally and I spent the final couple hours of our night on the couch.
Prior to kids I don't think I could have ever imagined that I would ever be looking for worms at 4 am. But now it's not so unbelievable.
